Cold demon

The writings in this volume attempt to remind us that the authors of the re-read philosophical writings on history are our long-surviving interlocutors. A new reading of their texts perhaps puts in a different context the residual points of clinging to the common philosophies of history and science, and the part of the literature that seeks the stakes and prices of our common history.
